aftermarket recievers don't fit the 1/16 revo!

So I'm all set to install my futaba receiver into the radio box and low and behold the the receiver won't fit the box. There's a notch molded into the cap that allow only the smallest of micro receivers to fit.

I was not aware that micro could mean many different sizes. Anybody have any ideas...other than me getting smaller receivers?

can you take the notch out?

The cap is formed with the notch to clear the slipper clutch nut. If I cut it out, it won't seal. I even thought about running without the cover but I wouldn't have anything put the antenna in.
