I live in Phoenix and its common knowledge that it gets very very hot here. I'm running a picco.26 and I have a NOVA head on it. I saw very large improvements in the operating temp after installation. Highly recomended upgrade. I would possibly however consider waiting untill you know you have a motor you will enjoy until it wears out. I don't know much about the .25 savage motor but the picco, for me, is here to stay. So, spend the bucks if your gonna keep runnin that mill.

Capn I too hear on way more than one account that the nova head is the way to go. Good luck with it man.

maby i'll juse weight to burn up my 25 and get the wasp or picco. but witch one? + a nova head. wasp or picco ? wasp or picco p3.26? is there a diff? is the picco the same as picco p3 .26? i just read on this web site someone say they were running the picco p3 . are they one an the same? thanks crash.:)

They are in fact the same but however do have some variations and I don't just mean colors. You should do a little research and find out what they are for yourself. I think the wasp is definitely like a rock crawler kind of engine. The P3 from what I understand would your more top speed engine and the Ofna Picco 26 is more of your middle of the road engine. Someone please check me on this but I believe this to be accurate.

I have heard that the wasp and the outlaw .26 are identical operationally speaking. The p3 has more RPM from what I hear. I'm not certain on all of this, just what I read in posts. One thing I am CERTAIN about is that the picco outlaw has gobs and gobs of power. More than this truck needs. I continue to break stuff due to the power this motor puts out. Definatively have to have a good tough drivetrain and even look at hardened steel drive cups. It goes so dang fast that when I crash, plastic suspension parts go snap. Plenty of power, I think anyway you go, you will be replacing drive parts. Cheers, and put a good aftermarket head on that new mill.
