Is there another carb for the 2.5? I'm having problems and I think a new carb will cure it (I hope).

Wanted to try something other than the stocker if there is one.

what are you symptoms? Are you sure it is the carb? The 2.5 has some issues with tuning and reliability. Some guys get a good one and can't say enough about them, some guys get a lemon and hate them, it seems to be about 50/50.

LOL! Nitro Dave, excellent summary!

I must have had both, in the beginning she was a bitch, but now she behaves so well.. a change of fuel manufacturer and higher Nitro content was my cure

TRX 2.5 carbs can be picked up on Ebay at a reasonable price.
One thing that does freak a carb out is when the HSN and LSN get screwed all the way in, this often damages the needle seats.
Pull the carb apart and look for damage.

I reckon a Sirio .18/3.0 carb would be an ideal replacement, they are also avaialible on Ebay.
You would have to modify the linkages though...

i have RB 13mm carburator

Man, I think it's about time to ditch the 2.5. The first gallon was awesome, great power, very reliable, literally ran w/ no problems as long as I could fill her up w/ gas!!!!

Now, it's just died, leaking from everywhere, and I just pulled carb off, inspected and put under water (check for air leaks, none were found). Reinstalled then the pullstart broke!!!!!

Didn't even get a chance to fire, of course it didn't make any attempts.
