Hi There,

I was just wondering in what the members do in the way of after run or maintenance on the electrics? Is there places that I should be paying special attention too after an afternoon of bashing?

Currently I just blow out all the dust and dirt picked up during the run and recharge the battery. I am running a Slash 4x4 in case there is something more I need to be doing?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Brushless?

Every few runs, it's a good idea to clean out the bearings- especially the wheel (hubcarrier) bearings with motor spray and re-lube them.

I'm not familiar with the Slash 4x4, but inspect your suspension pivot point often to ensure that the pins aren't loose or coming out. The same goes for the shocks. Periodically take your shocks off (check for leaks too) and make sure the suspension moves freely. Any bind usually indicates a bent hinge pin. Also inspect your drive axles and clean any dirt/debris out of them to lessen wear and prolong life.

As you use your truck you will get accustomed to the high wear/maintenance items. Traxxas vehicles are notoriously durable, and with care will perform for you for a very long time.

Service your bearings regularly, especially at axles and the slipper clutch spurgear.

Check over all arms etc for cracks, bent shock shafts, leaking shocks. Bent axles!

Clean the telescopic driveshafts otherwise they can jam up.

Velineon motor's bearings needs oiling every so often.

Good to also check inside gearboxes to see what grot has gotten inside
and also if the diffs have leaked out all their fluid - clean & refill if so.

Great suggestions. Glad I asked the question so that I can ensure everything is kept top shape. Thanks much for your very detailed replies.

Regards,
