I have a trx 2.5 need to know about after-run oil if i can just put it in throw the carb. I read some where that you should not take your glow plug in and out because you don't get a good seal because of the brass ring.

you should put about 2-3 drops in the carb opening and if you tighten the glow plug up good then there will be no problem so yes add dome to both without it on the piston and you dont drive for long it can most likely begin to rust

The two locations that most people drop ARO into their engine from are via the carb and via the glo-plug socket. Either way will suffice. Do not put much more than a couple of drops in either. If you do, you will have a really hard time starting the engine the next time you go to run the RC.

I, personally, choose to go via the carb. Much easier, and I don't have to worry about any crud falling into the engine cylinder.

The thoughts on the glo-plug hole might hold water if, big "if" here, if there wasn't a few techniques out there that actually recommend loosening the glo-plug in order to start an engine. If you choose to go the glo-plug hole route, just make certain the area in the cooling head around the glo-plug is nice and clean. Believe me, ARO will not save the engine if dirt and muck fall into the cylinder along with the ARO. So, I'd be more worried about that than any seal issues with the ring.

The nice thing about WD-40 (and some will contest its use as ARO) is that you can blast it down into the heat sink around the glow plug to wash away crud before removing the glow plug.

I always douche with Massengill WD-40 before removing my plug.
