The manual that came with my OS.18TM says not to put after run oil in the carb, it may deteriorate the o-rings in it. I've never heard of anybody not putting it in there. What do you guys do?

That's a tough call. But if the Manufacturer says not to, then I wouldn't do it.

REALLY odd, never heard of that.Every manual i ever read it said to always put some in the carb after a days run. But always do what the manual says i guess.........

I think if you put aro straight to the crank instead of pouring it on the carb you would be all set. I don't let any get onto the carb itself I just go straight for the crank and I I soak it.

Well AJ, if you've never read that you've never read an OS engine manual. :D It's in all of that way and is WRONG.

This is a CONFUSING statement and incorrect language that they are STILL printing in their manuals.

Visitthe FAQ on their website where it says that where the manual says that, it means not to put it in the fuel inlet, and that putting ARO in the air inlet is just fine.

Which would be kind of dumb anyway, you'd have to remove the fuel line and squirt squirt . . . lol . . .

While you're there pay heed to the statement that "When you use after-run oil, 2-5 drops are next to useless." That is, unless that's all your crankcase holds. :D

I clean my carb off and dump a bunch down it's throat and fire it up again til it chokes....also a good way to fumigate your pit area in th esummer to chase the bugs away.....
