AE Tuned Pipe

Is it that good? Can u tell a big difference using this pipe?
 
Thats the pipe, but that pic shows the old version, the new vwersion of that pipe has a mounting nipple on the end. It is a great pipe for low end power. While your at it get the Duratrax big tube header, it is a great combo, I use it on two of my maxxes.

they make pipes for low end power, high rpm power, and everything in between.
 
thanks ill be ordering the ae pipe and duratrax big tube header.

wait where is the hole on the pipe for the tube that goes to the gas tank of the maxx and pushes gas through to the carburator?
 
its there - about 1 inch from the end of the pipe, about 180 degrees around from the stinger. make sure u get the torque tuned version, and not the RPM tuned version.

Yes. Thanks for the info NA and Zoomer. Does there a different version of this pipe that has a pressure fitting? Or does all of the AE pipes come without one?
 
they come without it. i dont use one, and sometimes the fuel drains from the tank to the pipe when i am traveling, which kinda sucks, as it makes a mess when it dribbles out of the stinger. i have seen alot of people just jb weld one on there. the standard pressure fitting from most pipes will not fit, the hole is too large, I've tried, but maybe one from a .21 pipe, the the THS might.

its the small nipple that attaches to the pipe, which the pressure line(fuel tube running from exhaust to fuel tank) connects to.
 
Will the duratrax manifold and the ae tuned pipe fit on the t maxx without modifying it? or will i have to do something to it.
