I recently installed an AE pipe on my Maxx. Because it's longer than the stock pipe, and I haven't upgraded the header yet, it doesn't want to fit between the header and receiver. Should I:

A: File off the end of the pipe where the stock mount is since it isn't used on a Maxx

B: Cut the header

C: Move the receiver forward

D: Any combination of the above

Originally I just slipped the pipe over the header, but my servos are glitching like crazy.

When I put mine in I cut the header and the pipe. This way i didnt take too much from either one.

That should be all you need to do.

Thats the same thing I did too. Took a little off both. However if you go with the duratrax header you can leave the pipe alone, the Duratrax header has more of an offset than the stock header so you can just trim the header, and not worry about the pipe.

I have the Duratrax header and AE pipe. I simply cut the mount off the tip of the pipe and used the piano wire pipe hanger instead. I didn't have to cut the header nor the pipe. And I didn't have to move the receiver...
