  • Last night I was surfing around on ebay and came across a Adrenaline center skid for $15 and a Adrenaline front and rear skid that had ended with the reserve not met at $30. So I won the center skid for $15.50 which sells for $30 anywhere else. :w00t: So I really wanted the f/r to go along with the center, so I emailed the guy and offered him the reserve price of $36.99 and he said YES!!! The f/r sells for $90 anywhere else!!! :w00t: I got all the skids for $60 shipped!!! Just thought I'd brag a little:D hehehe

If the f/r are aluminum I would not get them. Titanium is the skids to have and I am waiting for them to come out and be stocked by my lhs. For the center skid aluminum is more good enough cause it doesn't take the abuse the the f/r skids take. Hopefully RPM will start producing parts for the Savage.

If you spend anytime bashing with your truck, you will spend more time reshaping those aluminum skids than they are worth (at any price). I'd send them back and save up for a nice set of Titanium ones (they can't be too far from being released). Stick with the plastic ones...cheap to replace and you don't have to reshape them after every hard bump in the nose or tail.

Well for only being $60 shipped, they will definately do the job. I think they are goona suit me well cause I really dont do any xtreme bashing, and when I do bash hard its usually on sand dunes. So if I do crash hard its got a soft spot to land on. If they dont hold up I will definately go with titanium. But for $60 for all Adrenaline skids, I couldnt pass that up.

Okay. Sounds like you've got it figured out. Hope they work out for you as well as you'd like. Let us know how they hold up after about six months of hard driving (dunes or otherwise).

  • After looking these over real good, I agree with you Sky. They dont look very strong at all. And unlike the stock skids, I can't figure out how the Adrenaline skids hold the pins in place. I went ahead and used the center skid cause I definately needed it, and plus it looks pretty damn good. I'm gonna hold out for the Titanium skids, and hopefully somebody's gonna come out with some soon. :worship: Skymaxx

to hold the pins in, you need a small set screw drilled into the arm or something else to keep it in place, someone sells new pins, 1 side is mushroom top, other has body clip

I'm glad you found a use for at least a part of your purchase. Maybe the money you make off selling the Front and Rear skids can go towards a Titanium set when ever they make the scene.

Happy bashing!
:D

Yeap, thats the plan. Does anybody know if anyone has Ti skids in the works?
