Ok well just so were clear here, I'm not after your job woodie... or am I??? Also do you need to "go green" to become a mod. or adminisTRATOR. see i got it.
How to become an administrator?
1. Kill Eddy, but even then that doesn't promise you a spot as admin.
or
2. Buy the site from me, another one of those things that more then likely isn't going to happen.
Do I need to "go green" to become a mod?
Haha, no - actually far from it. Not to long ago we a member decided to "donate" some funds to RCNT in hopes for a spot in the RCNT Staff team. Sadly he was only greeted with a big "THANK YOU! and ohh would you like your money back, because this doesn't mean you'll become a mod". That member soon left RCNT and hasn't returned since.
Here are some unspoken rules that I don't think I've posted in the public forums until now.
1. Don't ask to be a staff member.
2. Know your RC stuff.
3. Answer other people's questions as best as you know.
4. Be part of the community.
5. Know the site rules.
6. Follow the site rules.
7. Visit the site often.
8. Be mature, but know how to kick back as well. (I think of all the staff, I'm the youngest... go figure.)
I guess that's a good start, and if you can do these then you're off to a good start to possibly be even considered a possible RCNT Staff candidate.
Again even then the above doesn't mean you'll become a staff member. Heck we have a few members right now that do all the above and more, some green some not, but none are being considered for the job. Why? Because the staff and I don't believe we need anymore help at the moment.
When the time comes we need more help these people might just have their named put in the bucket, but as Rolex already pointed out, the people that help vote a new staff member in are the supporting members.
Hope that answers your question.
