Once again, the Buffalo Bills have shown that they have NO INTENTION of ever winning a Super Bowl. None. Nunca. Zilch. Nada. Nope. Today they decided to release Drew Bledsoe in favor of making JP Losman their starting QB. JP was a rookie last year who missed half of the season with a broken leg. He made 4 short appearances this season going 3-for-5 for 32 yards and an interception. I think he has everything it takes to be a blue chip QB in Buffalo [/sarcasm]. I haven't been this excited since they decided to toss Doug Flutie in favor of Rob Johnson! And we all know how incredible Johnson was. I think while they're at it, they should finally offload Willis McGahee and Eric Moulds. Lord knows they're just dead weight. Having them on the roster makes it too likely that Buffalo will make the playoffs. And we can't have that, can we?

I heard the news on the way home. Lol!! I hope the Jets will pick him up.

The Jet's can have him. He is not going to take the Bills anywhere. That's why New England let him go and we picked him up. Bledsoe was good but he is not a clutch player. He can't handle pressure and he just can't read the defense well enough to make the Bills a Super Bowl contender. I'm not a JP fan either but something has to change and if you look at the teams the Bills beat last year, they were not worth a crap either. Go Bills

Scott.

I agree with scotthg, something's gotta change and it needs to be more then just the QB. But ohh well I'm no Bills fan - Go Colts!

I"m with scott and Woodie, bledsoe is a meadocre (sp - man I can't spell) at best, he would be a great back up qb, but he will never lead any team to the super bowl.

Team17 - From what I've been reading, Bill Parcels is looking to pick him up, believe me he is better off in DAllas. You guys have a descent qb with Pennington, you guys have a better chance with him.

But either way GO PATS!

didn't Bledsoe quarter for the pats years ago or am I off my rocker... (again)

Yea he did, and I'm glad he got hurt when Brady was a rookie. If he wouldn't have gotten hurt they prob wouldn't be the team they are today.

Gee, and I thought I was having a bad past 3 years. I'm a 'Fins' fan...

UMMM, Bledsoe DID lead a team to the SB(Pats, lost to Packers). He got hurt when Brady was a 2nd year player. And no,the Pats would NOT be the team they are if the Jets didnt CRUSH Bledsoe a couple years ago. Bledsoe also threw a TD against the Steelers in the AFC Champ. game when Brady got hurt on thier way to their 1st SB win.....

I happen to like Bledsoe, but then again, I liked Doug Flutie. My point here I think is that Buffalo is just a really crappy system. Bottom line. I think their coaches and ownership have no idea what they want to do. They just keep showing it. Hell, the list of player they have released is faaaaaaaaar better than the players they keep. They have this knack for putting the team squarely on the shoulders of players that have little experience. No offense to Losman, but the wording of the statement from Buffalo that named him the future of the team is waaaay to close to the wording they used when they named Rob Johnson the future of the team. And we all saw how well that worked out. Buffalo really really really needs to rethink their strategy for getting back on top, if they're even interested in getting back on top.

Yeah, really not sure what they are thinking up there. Then again the talent they have let go has not been great either. P.Price? He should give his signing bonus to Moulds.I do think the head coach is decent, and the kind of "O" he wants to run is not a Bledsoe type. I just hope teams dont get the "Big Ben" syndrome,he is not that good!!You need a GREAT team to make it all work.

"Big Ben"

hes good..he doesn't turn the ball over that much..and that my friend, wins games.

Drew would have been a great back up for Carr....Carr has a cannon..but he makes mistakes.

He turned it over plenty for how many time he had to throw it. The point was he didnt HAVE to throw it as much. Given his recievers, running game and O line, it makes almost anyone look like a good QB.I'm not tring to trash him,he will be good,( I hope since I am a Steelers fan)just think teams are looking to him as a model, and I dont think they should. Bledsoe would be a all-pro if he was on the Steelers.

Bledsoe will never be an all-pro no matter what team he plays on. He has no touch pass at all. He was so bad at trying to run screens and short quick passes. I liked him as a person but he's no leader. If you ever went to a Bills game and watch him even on the sidelines, he doesn't get fired up or rally his team or even look at still photos on the side lines. We need a change and they do need to get an older QB for a backup to help out JP with his growing pains. I do not have much faith in JP but if he doesn't loose games for us, he might win my vote next year.

As for Bledsoe he's in Dallas now and we will see what happens next year with him but I think Parcels has lost it. He has two first round picks which he got from one us (Buffalo) last year so we could get JP. I hope Dallas goes down in flames next and Parcels retires for good.

Scott.
