hmm... am i missing something or do we not have a gallary for the savage?Anyhow here is a action shot pic shot using a 35mm camera Black and white film.

should be able to post some more up later on. There is a funny story behind that picture too... here is a hint ( i was basically holding the camera in one hand and the Radio in the other)

How are you processing the photos, I haven't seen a reversed image like the last one for years. Are you shooting and developing film?

Just wondering.

Yeah, that's pretty much a thing of the past for us too. Used to be we had to scrutize every image going in to make sure it wasn't flopped like that. Damn slide film! :D

It can still be done in Photoshop though... "Flip Canvas Horizontally"

doing it all manually using the darkroom/developing chemicals/inlarger/etc. its really intresting and great, i learn alot out of it... the negative was simply fliped over, seemed to like it more pointing to the right than to the left..

That's good to see that the old ways are still in use. It's becoming a lost art in this day of digital photography. Makes me want to break out the old equipment and set up my darkroom again. I just didin't like the "vinegar smell" when working with the chemicals. Even more, hated doing the "slam and twist" of the canister when developing the film or loading the film on the spool to develop it. Great when I was in a dark room, PITA when using the black bag.

If you develop your own film, try doing a "push process" to get more vivid contrasts in B&W as well as deeper tones for both colored and b&w.

Nice photo mnm, to hold a camera that steady and control an rc is no easy feat. And to imagine you pulled a wheelie also! Do you have other pictures, even non-RC related?

Yeah I have others ill be happy to post if you guys are interested in. maybe make a new topic? Since it’s not related to savage's?

I have been working on pushing and pulling Films, started using Trix-400 film and pushing it to 1600 to get more grays and detail in not so well lit areas and when developing the film I have to do some calculations to the developer timing so I get the film developed right. But I'm starting to like the fact of pushing the Trix-400 film it really gives you a lot more contrast to work with.

no problem man, i did want others to share the pictures too.. no worries

Black and white photography, developing, ect...is now being taught as a "fine arts" in schools as digital takes over. I still like doing my own prints, and I think they come out alot better then from a digital picture....nice shots!

well, it is an art to use the print medium. Too many people want the easy way out and get digital. But to get a great digital shot, you gotta get a great camera and those are quite expensive. I'm glad for the digital age but even happier that I still know how to use my manual 35mm. Helps when you want to go completely manual with a digitalSLR. I leave the point and shoot stuff to the others.
