thanks to Rolex and a bunch of other members on here i ordered a Giant ACNCM cooling head. well today it got pretty nice outside so i decided to drive my turck for the first time with it on. all i can say is amazing. I have no more tuning problems. and also this thing is freaking huge i have never seen a cooling head this big. But any ways i would like to thank Rolex and the other members for helping me make this choice. i will get some pics of it soon.

Did you get the new blue anodized one or the natural silver? Those heads are so nice. If i didnt have a nova head already for my sirio .27, i would get the acncm one.

i got the blue one. also today i went out and tried to drive it again and it wouldn't start. in between the cooling head and the engine block it was spitting out gass. so i took off the cooling head and i saw the gasket thing waqs misssing so i put it on. i tried again it wouldn't start. it just kept on spitting out gas. can you help me please. i really want to run it again. i dont know what else to do. i tightend all the bolts i checked the gasket for cracks and nothing plesae help.

Between the head and block? Sounds like you may have not placed in right. If it is like the stock head, it has to go in exactly the same. Check the grooves on the head and see if you can match them up.

Make sure it is turned in the right direction. The grooves on top facing forward.
Clean the top of the block, the gasket and the bottom of the head.
Line it up, and hold it in place while you start the 5 screws.
Press it down hard, and rock it to make sure it is seated flat, then spin each screw in only finger tight. Start to work your way around in a star, or criss-cross pattern, tightening each one just a little more. 5 or 6 trips around till they are fully tightened.
That method ensures that the head is seated flat, and there's is even pressure all the way around on the gasket.

well today i took out my maxx again and today was a new but little problem. whenever i put new gas into my tank and i gave it throttle it would shut off. is it just b/c the gas hasn't warmed up or is there something else to it.

The gas is better when it stays warm but never cold or too hot. Sounds like since you have a bigger cooling head you may need to adjust your needles.

Sounds like you are tuned for a leaner tank, because when you fill the tank, it gives the carb more fuel, so it runs a lot richer... thats why i switched to a more flat tank...

jon 2 -- i have it tuned around perfectly would you suggest anything else

.21 -- if you got a more flatter tank where did you mount it and what tank is it

When it starts, just let it sit and idle to give it some warm up time, then ease into it till it clears out.
Let me know what it does.

I got an extended chassis and used the New Era tank that fits with the 125cc buggy tank.

I can confidently say that new gas isn't the problem unless youare getting old or the wrong type. Huh..What do you use? Percentage?

Have you used "old" fuel and it runs fine? Thinking the other solution is to re tune. OR maybe our plug is fouled. Have you checked the plug?

Ok well today it was really warm out about 70 and i decided to drive my maxx and it ran fine after a while. But anyways after i ran out of fuel i refilled it and i let it sit at idle for a while 5min or so. So when i gave it throttle it cut off. i think i have it tuned perfectly b/c i have it doing wheelies from start, and it is shifting and not bogging out it sounds fine but the only problem is the gas thing. any ideas aobut this i know i asked b4 and i tried some of the ideas and i still get this. i havn't got a new tank and i dont really want to yet b/c its still sort of new.

Most engines tend to 'snot' up a bit when left idling for too long.
After idling for a while, lift the car and slowly give it little blips on the throttle to blow out the excess oil. After several blips, you can give it some more throttle, and it shouldn't stall.
The temp is also changing outside, so it's time to check temperature at idle, and temp at WOT to see what adjustment it needs.

If you let it idle for a while, it loads up with fuel. In other words, it gets really rich.

This tells me that maybe the LSN is too lean. When you FIRST start after being cooled down completely, Does it wheelie ? If so you are way too lean on the LSN Meesing with the HSN would mess you up more. Try richening the LSN if this is happening to you. Do it in small increments run the truck and take TEMPS of it.

This sounds like an LSN as I stated.

Let us know what the temps and how does the truck react after its first start and go.
