about to get a savage. what do i need?

I'm finnaly going to get my first savage .25 rtr. i just want to know what i would need to get before i could start it up. and also if someone could tell me how this thing runs as far as top speed and acceleration compared to the t-maxx.

You will need:
4 AA size Batteries or 1 5 cell hump pack with charger for the truck
8 AA batteries for the Radio
6 cell, 7.2V flat pack battery for the Roto Start
Battery Charger: Timed or peak for Roto Start battery
glow starter
Fuel bottle
2-cycle glow fuel with 20% nitromethane

Youll need:

6 cell battery for roto start, maybe like a 1500 mah, that wut i use I got an epic 1500mah for $10

A charger for that battery, nothing special(make sure it will be good enough for your battery I got mine for about $25 bucks

12 AAs : 4 for the reciever in the truck and 8 for the radio

Extra glow plug, because you should change the glow plug after break in $6

Nitro: I recommend Trinity Monster Horsepower 20%(you will need about a quart for break in, and a gallon more cuz you wil be addicted afterwards) $25

You should be set!!

you can get a fuel filter because somtimes there are bits in the fuel tank when it's new you can also get fail safe as well as the Return Spring Set.

Oh and speed and acceleration compared to the maxx, i think its way better. I havnt seen them racing side by side but i owned a maxx and hated it with a passion always breaking every time i took it out, This truck is 100% more durable than a maxx. I was driving with some friends who own savages and their pretty fast, good acceleration etc. Also say if the acceleration didnt please u then u could always throw in a .28 of your choice or the right gearing to get the speed faster and acceleration better. I think youll love it alot though even stock Great choice, its a beastly truck that ull have lots of fun with.

To tell you the truth, good batteries fuel and a glow charger.. be prepared for a lot of fun heheh...
