Hi everybody, my retailer told me about a "Hot Bodies" engine of class 18 for my 1/10 scale car, but I never heard about these engines since yesterday so I would like to know if it would be a good thing to buy it (I was also surprised by its cheapness)?

I bought a Hot Bodies .18 for my Rustler when the original Pro.15 wore out...It's been a very reliable engine for me (I just bash)...It seems to have the same top end as the Traxxas, but the low end torque is much better. The carb was only a single needle, but I fitted the Traxxas dual needle to it with very little effort. It really made it come to life. If you're just bashing around, the Hot Bodies engine is not a bad deal for the price, considering how much a piston/sleeve and crank bearings would run if you rebuilt another engine. Mine is still going strong after about 4 gallons of fuel. You didn't say what car you were putting it in. You might have to cut the crankshaft. I did.

Well, I have a Kyosho TR15 road version with a GS 15 R engine.I know I'll only have to buy an adapter for the "Hot Bodies" engine so I can screw it on my chassis.
By the way, do you know the amount of power it delivers? I heard about 1.2 PS.
