I am looking at getting a spool for the the rear end becuase my diff is about ready to blow; what do you all think of them. I took out front wheel drive becuase my diff blew in that and I am very happy I left it two wheel drive.

Thats mainly all I run on dirt, grass and, the ocasional sand. What do I need the get the spool installed? Am I going to need any of the old diff. parts or what?

a spool would be good for what you are running it will give you much more traction, that being said i run a spool in all 3 of my trucks and they sped about 1/4 of the time running on parking lots with street tires and have not found problem running a spool. my maxx is starting to twist the spool but it has about 6 gal of nitro with a big block and 1-2 gal with a .15

take the diff out of the housing, put the spool in its place. no extra stuff required.

So all I am going to have to get is just the spool and, take out the rest of my diff. assembly put the spool in and be good to go?
