Hey as any one tried hand breakin on there motor and if so could ya fill me in on how and if it is a good idea. I have a Ofna hyper PBS with out a pull start and it is being a pain, Ofna tech support said hand breakin with a drill was an option. Have order better start box but won't be here for a week and would like to fire this bad boy. Thanks for any help.

Not exactly sure what you mean by hand break-in, but if you mean it with the drill as you said, I have heard of people using drills.

Apparently however it can be dangerous because the drill will push right through hydro-lock on a lot of engines and you can do some serious damage.

I'm not exactly sure how one would start the thing with a drill anyhow; it's hard enough lining up the flywheel on a starter box that has no guides, never mind trying to line it up on a drill.

I'd wait for the box and do it right.

hey i think what they are refering to is taking out the motor putting it in a vise than take off clutch bell then spinning it that way. did you ask them if they would replace your motor if you did this.

Plus, I think part of the break-in process is putting some load on the engine parts. If it's running on a vice there's no load and it probably won't break in very well.

Thanks for the input guys, think I will wait for the box to show up. Hey zandor lets see if we can get this thing running when the box gets here, hopefully this weekend, also just ordered up a stadium truck for the kid.
