could you give me a link to an rb 086 exhaust for a savage as cheap as you can find it i have $50 to spend on an exhaust i found a place taht had it for 48 but i can't find it now if you know of any sites that have it (that i can buy it from) would help me out alot thanks

The RB Concepts 086 pipe and the Ofna pipe by the same name and model numbre are essentially that...the same pipe. You can find the Ofna pipe for much less than the RB Concepts pipe. My LHS had the RB pipe for like $110 and the Ofna version of the same pipe for $70. That would be a $40 savings for the same performance, and from the look of them the same quality.

Here's the Ofna pipe:

Here's the RB pipe:

Looks to be the same with a different label...

i already got the rb pipe off acehobbies for 54 i went with the polished its been doing better than the stock by far

Noted. Thanks for the update.

The RB and OFNA pipe's look the same, but they're not.

According to Rody at RB, OFNA uses an inferior alloy to make their pipes and you will not get the same level of performance. Granted, Rody is RB, so he's naturally biased, but I've never known him to spout bull**** and you usually get what you pay for.

Just my thoughts.

Hmmm...I've heard the same about Rody. I do not doubt the quality of his product, but I am not going to say that he is fair in his assessments of other products.

Why would he be? They cost him money when they perform the same for half the price.. So of course he is not going to say that they provide the same performance, and of course he is going to say that they use an inferior alloy.

What I have seen is a few buggies running with the RB pipe and a few running with the OFNA pipe. You know what...both pipes seemed to perform just fine and in a near identical fashion. I say near identical, because this was not done in a truly controlled experimental fashion. The engines were different flavors and the conditions for running were not identical. BUT everything I saw indicated to me that the OFNA pipe for $70 was a decent purchase.

Those that are finding the RB pipe on e-Bay for less than half the suggested retail price...what does that tell you. Inflated price maybe. What about those pipes that you find on e-Bay for the same or less?

So while, I do not disagree with your statement on getting what you pay for, I do not tend to jump on anyone's bandwagon just because the driver claims that he has the best wagon.
