Hi I am new and have searched the forum but i can't find answers to these ?'s.

1. Everyone talks about their savages needin wheelie bars.. Mine has never tried to pull a wheelie did i tune it wrong or something? I did follow the manufactures instructions to the T.

2. Where is a good place to buy clear bodies for the savage? I searched tower but I am looking for a clear body I can paint.

TIA Mike:cool:

1. what savage do you have, and what gears are you running.

2. proline has quite a few, as well as some other makers. but finding a clear stocker will probibly be hard.

Usually people whe need wheelie bars are the ones who have aftermarket engines with more power than the stock engine. My Savage SS never wheelied with the stock engine, but it sure did with the Wasp .28 I dropped in it. My Savage X has yet to pull a full wheelie, but has gotten close. But, wheelies will grow old pretty quick, hence the wheelie bar.

when my savage ss .25 was stock it use to pull wheelys all the time, it got very old and trashed my body. I think some motors are better than others, I just got lucky and got a very good ns.25.the .25 is retired now but still runs strong.
but like most here, my savage is no where close to stock anymore. :p still pulls them but not as bad now.

I have the savage ltd edition and what ever was on it stock is whats in it. Thanks for the help.

Jeez. My SS 4.6 flipped over just after break-in and scratched up the head already. It will wheelie on demand if I want. But it gets old after a while. I do think with good tuning and setup the .25 will wheelie. If you're newish to nitro, take your time and learn how to drive and tune the truck. Soon enough you'll uncover the secrets and should get up on 2 wheels soon enough.
And for bodies, good places are Rush RC, Tower, HobbyGuyRC or even Ebay. Pro-Line and HPI make tons of bodies for the Sav and you should find them no problem on any of those sites. Most are clear even though they show pictures of them painted. It will say it in the description.

i have a STS .28 on my savage and i am on the 4th tank of on road break in and after 8 heat cycle runs ,and it is getting rather responsive (wheelies)
as stated earlier learn about tuning and the wheelies and easier running will come in 10 fold just dont rush it or you may get discouraged ,as for body's like Jon2 stated bruce from rushrc can hook you up and look at the new X-citer body for the savage they look awsume

My savy can ride wheelies all day long with the 52T. I actually didnt like it. Cracked alot of bodies with the 52T. The 49T it still pulls a hard wheelie but rides them out. I like it alot better.

as far as the bodies, yeah, Proline, parma, Hpi to name a few are some that makes some bodies for ya. Bruce at RuchRc.com should be able to get ya on your way.
