(The After Market Traxxas Shooks.) I have had these shocks since April 04 an they have never proven them selves the way they did 2day. I havent ran my truck in about a mouth so it took me bout' 20 min. 2 drain the tank (should have never left that fuel in there), clean the fuel-lines,the fuel filter, an the air-filter.

I got about 60 min. of good, hard running then the worst that could happen, HAPPENED. I went full speed into a tree.
Broke all front 4 A-arms,both bulk-heads,front skid-plate,middle bulk-head,bumper........ect..... Anything that could have broke in the front did, EXCEPT those 80 dollar shocks. These shocks are tough :boxing: , i was doin atleast 55-60 when i hit that tree an not 1 little bend in them.
If u havent bought these shocks,u must buy them ASAP !!! I would have spent 120$ of shocks (includding past crashes)
I figure the tottaly for this crash will end up around 75$ (better than 100$), but not runnin' a RC for a mouth an havein' a day like 2days= PRICELESS...

(I'll try 2 have a picture of the damage tomorrow after i get home from practice)

There not as tough as you may think! You just got lucky! I have bags of Ebay shocks and I have broken them just doing a cartwheel in the grass. Yes there are better then stock but, not even close to as good as Traxxas Big Bores or UE Racer-X Shocks. The Big Bores and UE shocks will improve your Maxx's handling by a ton over those Ebay shocks. You can get a set of Big Bores on Ebay for $60 and the Racer-X are about $65 for 4. I run 4 UE shocks on my .27 converted Maxx and I must say I have never owned a better set of shocks.

Those are the 1's i have Traxxas Big Bores.....They has red springs an came w/ 40 or 45 weight oil.

Then there you go! When you said Ebay Shocks I thought you were talking about the no name ones. They are great shocks!

No I don't.
I was just wondering what kind of CRAZY gears you were running to get 60MPH.

You may want to change your estimated speed to a Maximum of 40-45 mph or so just to keep things real. I'm not jumping on you but when I see a post I like to believe what I read. If you were getting 60 mph I just wanted to know how.

Thanks,
Ed

Ight i really didnt mean 60 mph i was just using it like i was goin VERY FAST....sry bout the confusion...

I just got back from the hobby shop an came home very happy....it seems that i broke the bulk-head AN BENT THE CHASSIS !!! I'm so happy about this becasue i have excuse 2 spend my money on a 21 coversion kit :devious: , an what a coveince that they had 1 sitting in there 2day... :smoke:. Ima' take my .18 out of my Maxx an put it into my NTC3 Factory Team Kit, do yall think this engine will tear my touring car apart ??? or will the kit hold up fine ???

SuperMaxx97,
Read above i bent the chassis...an know finna buy the 21 conversion kit...(instead of hammering it out). I also had some questions up above...

It should hold up just fine. What engine are you putting in your .21 Maxx and what conversion kit did you buy?
