sooo since i ran my truck yesterday the first time in a long while, i found a cpl of issues.

hpis solution for the throttle / brake assembly is the biggest bogus I've seen, that 2 plastic half's and a metal ring jumps open/ bends open after about 1 min of driving, is there a different solution like a conversion kit to this or do i have to improvise ?
heres a pic of what I'm talking about

alright then i had the feeling that this engine runs quiet a bit to hot as i stopped operation after i hit 280 F, the engine gets kinda undriveable, or revs up without me doin anything once it gets over those 280F what would cure that issue of this high heat consumption.

last but not least, is there a stiffer servo saver spring, my cs170 rips that servo saver spring almost apart :(

thanks guys

Heres a list...
Engine overheating: Possibly Mid Tank Mod, or just richen up your settings,
Stiffer Servo Saver Spring: Fuel Tubing
Silver Ring Popping Out: Don't know if it really matters. It happens to me too, but I don't mind it.

alright, maybe go in detail here, since I'm new to this small scale stuff...

and to your silver ring popping out that you dont mind, in my case that prohibits me from driving so i DO mind therefor i need a solution :)

engine smokes like a smoker so i guess ima have to do some setups, i ll let a cpl of friends handle it that are familiar with these small bangers :)

thanks so far

how does the ring popping out prohibit you from driving? are you talking about the little ring holding the servo horn together?

and instead of a stiffer spring you could try using fuel tubing.

just google mid tank mod but I'm not sure if it will help you or not... it sounds like you just need to richen up your engine.

He's talking about the servo saver spring for the steering.

I did the OFNA MP Servo Saver Mod on mine and now my servo saver works flawlessly. It's amazing how it worked with the Savage and did not require a lot.

For the throttle brake problem I recommend upgrading to the OFNA linkages.
I found this thread on a better way to it than the tutorial. NCNitro has a picture on how he did it.

For the engine problem, you may have to richen up your HSN. If that doesn't work, you have an air leak somewhere. Like said, it could be the half tank lean problem, but I doubt it will make the engine that much hotter.
