i have a slash and might go brushless:\ . i know more kv means faster but dose it all so mean shorter battery time:( .

I would say 9000Kv is way too high of a Kv rating. I have a 7700 and have a hard time gearing it down enough to keep from overheating ALL the time. I would say go no higher than a 5700Kv. But this is coming from a nitro person so others may chime in with better information. But is think 5700 would be a good starting point.

i run a 4300kv on 3s lipo and a 5700kv on 2s lipo, it's hard to keep either of them from running hot with stock gearing. they both get pretty hot. there both fast and run pretty close to the same speed
