ok my x-c is eating up spur gears so fast, (46 tooth) BUT it only strips them when i go on a strate line of speed, like a stright long run, and slowly bring it up to full throttle, then it strips it, its fine if i dont do that, whats rong ?? its much more than mesh!! plz help thanks!

is it possible our chassis is tweaked? I know on one of my impacts I tweaked the chassis pretty hard, causing the servo saver to quit working. Either that, or poissibly just chassis flex. It's all fine and good when it is not moving, but when you get on it, the chassis tweaks a little from the torque?

Are you using an actual XTM gear? or the losi as a substitute?

I'm using the xtm gear
i dont get it, its FINE GREAT! WORKING !! full throttle, weeeeee....... then when i start to let of WEEWEEEWEEEERRRR!!
damn ! spur gear, i mean i can see one or two, or even three, but come on now......9 done! i have one more left from my last shipment.....if that strips, 10 spur gears gone and i have ran mabey,... liek 12 tanks trew it!!! i dunno, how could it be flex?? i dunno i need help is it possiable my enegine isnt tuned right and the enigine is putting out to much power? ad killing my spur gears??

PLEASE HELP ME!

DId you buy your rc new or used? If you bought it used you might have just found out why you got such a great deal. It could be possible that the engine is putting out too much hp and burning through spur gears but the likelihood of this happening are slim to say the very least. I would agree it could possibly be your chassis flexing. If you opt not to reinforce your chassis or replace it let me know because I will buy stock in spur gears so I can retire in Florida in a few months.

I'll third the suggestion about the chassis flex. Your chassis will naturally want to flex under the gyroscopic motion of the engine at full rpms. This flex will easily screw up the gear mesh and end up tearing up spur gears. Either check for a tweaked chassis or a weak chassis.

ok man i didnt kno that chassies can bend so easily:doh:

All it takes is a little misalignment on those gears, and they are gone. So your chassis doesn't have to be floppy; it just needs to move like an 1/8 of an inch or less and the gear mesh can go.

i feel like a :sheep:

I'm sure ill get it i hope!! ok thanks
