I bought a savage a while back from wannarunem, and started hopping that one up with a couple missing pieces, still not done, but starting another savage build. A New Era .70 conversion. Yes, it may be slower, or less revs or whatnot, but hey, who has a .70 on their savage? Or, who has a .32 on their rc10gt? The same answer. I do.

This engine is a monster (Just recieved it in the mail today). I will post pics as the build goes on. :ahem:

wow.

a .32 in an rc10gt..

I'm destroying parts with the .18 cvr
what do you do for the rear dif in the rc10gt?

and the savy..

pictures man!

What did you buy/use to get that mill in your rc10gt? Would like to know because my and my cousin have been toying with the idea to drop my extra 24.7 into it and buying RPM bulkheads and suspension.

I had a custom engine mount made for a big block engine (I still have a few left). I used all RRP trans gears, and eventually locked the rear diff with JB Weld. Seems to be strong, so far.

The Savage should be fun though too.

yea, i had to Jb weld the rear diff, thats why i was wondering.

all of the gears are holding up. RRP is in the question though.
it was slipping after 2 minutes on the first run with the .18, got mad. rebuilt the diff, tightened it up real good, took it out, same thing.

broke out the JB weld and fixed it right up. didnt think it would hold. it sure does though. only have ran it once since.

during that run, i melted the spur gear.

where there is sopost to be 2 small holes and 1 pencil/pen sized hole, there is 1 hole about the size of a quarter.

bought a new spur, havent installed it yet.

Would you be willing to part with an engine mount, if so how much?

What gear ratios did you use?
And could someone point me in the right direction on how to lock the diffs? Is there a thread that been posted on it before?

do you have a link or a website to find that .70 conversion?

Ya,an update would be cool, anyone ever ran one of those thunder tiger mills?

Been a lot going on recently. My grandfather just passed away, and now we are trying to get all of that taken care of. We now have a house to clean out and sell, along with me moving into my new room. It is bigger, but I still can't find anything!
