In the December issue of RC Car Action, they have a 2004 Hot List. Among a crap load of vehicles and accessories, there's a .70 Pro BX70 conversion kit for the maxx from New Era. Has a 4.7mm aluminum chassis, engine mounts, clutch-nut assembly & superduty lower braces let Thunder Tiger's mongo Pro BX70 drop into ur maxx, and included rear shock tower allows for starter-shaft access. Price tag of $185.50 What is everyone's input on this?

I TRIED IT. it was fiun for about a week and then i got tired of eating up diffs and tranny gears. it also raises the cog way too high and its is way too unstable and tipsy. i also buned up two 12 volt starters trying to start it. no real peformance jump just heavier and more unstable. you are way better off with a high performance car engine, wasp/picco .26, .24.7 pro, sirio .27 11port. muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch more fun.

i saw it to and wanted to put it in my mute and it's built to take a .70. one of the lhs owners is going to try it in his mute, i'll let you know if it ever leaves his bench.

.27, bigger is better.

YEAH I HAD THE 70 IN MINE KEPT BREAKING STUFF COSTING MORE THEN IT WAS WORTH WENT TO THE XTM 24.7 MUCH BETTER
