i was wanting to switch from 4.8 volts to 6. So the steering servo that I was wanting to buy would perform better. Will this hurt my other stock traxxass eletronics?:beard:

If you are running 4 AA then you already have a 6 volt system...as 4 AA are typically 6 volts worth of juice (1.5 volt/AA battery)....unless I'm missing something here.

Well I think what you might have not understood is that regular AA akaline batterys are 1.5v like Sky said thats why I asked. If you go to a 5 cell reciver pack you will still get 6v because NiMh and NiCd are 1.2v a cell so you need the 5th cell to makeup the 1.2v you loose over the 4 1.2 cells
1.2x5=6
1.5X4=6
The reason you see 4.8 is when people run 1.2NiCd or NiMh AA cells then they only have 4X1.2=4.8
That should clear up any of your questions. X

I was wondering about the discrepancy in the voltages. That does clear it up. I'll have to keep that in mind when I decide to convert to the NiCd/NiMh stuff myself. Thanks for clearing that up X.
