MODIFIED MGT 4.6, LRP Z.28R SPEC.3 upgrade, also some other mods , roll cage, springs, etc. It runs around 55 to 65mph( est.). Engine is tuned to 245 deg f. (the sheet that came with the engine said the perfect temp was between 230-260 f) and that temp is consistent with 5 deg with 3 to 4 passes at about 200 to 300 m stretch. GP MC59/ O'DONNELL 100 / LRP R5

Now with normal monster truck running where you just pop wheelies and short track runs w/jumps the temp stays around 180-210. It pops wheels easy! and can get out off control quickly if you don't watch it. Thats why i have my roll-cage !
I'll try to attach some picks.

SPEED//

A ACFT HOBBY GUY STOPPED BY THE FIELD WHERE I WAS RUNNING THE TRUCK AND ASKED WHAT ALL I HAD DONE TO IT. HE SAID IT WAS FAST!
I TOLD HIM I THOUGHT IT WAS AROUND 40MPH MAYBE, BUT HE POINTED OUT THAT THE HWY NEXT TO WHERE I WAS RUNNING THAT THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55 AND A THE CARS DRIVING BY, WE'LL YOU COULD SEE THEM WATCHING MY TRUCK RUN, AND A FEW YOU COULD HERE THEM GETTING IN THE GAS. LIKE THEY TRYING TO CATCH UP TO IT.

HE THOUGHT 55 TO 65 MPH WAS CLOSER TO MY TRUCKS SPEED. I'LL GET ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS TO RUN ALONG SIDE THE SCHOOL SPORTS FIELD AND TRY AND FIGURE IT OUT LATER ON THIS WEEK, WHILE I'M STILL ON LEAVE OR ONE OF THE MPS OR LOCAL COPS TO HIT WITH A RADAR GUN. I STILL THINK ITS AROUND 50 BUT IT DOES GO FASTER THAN THE LOCAL TRAFFIC.

I'M PUTTING IN THE LRP ZR.30 X NEXT WEEK WHEN I COME OFF LEAVE SO I'LL GET SPECS AND TECHNICAL DATA AND POST HERE WHEN FINISHED SHOULD BE NLT 10-14JAN 09 TO HAVE IT IN AND TUNED SO I'LL POST ONCE ITS RUNNING RIGHT

55 is pretty realistic but going toward 65 is really leaning towards..WE NEED PICS.. WE NEED A VID and WE NEED a RADAR GUN!! LOL

I have seen fast MGT's but nothing in the 65MPH range.

Got a buddy with a MGT on 8s lipo and all he can get out of it is 61.3 MPH. I would like to see some video of the truck with a GPS strapped to it.

Right on, thats what i felt to. I thought 50 was realistic but since it is keeping up with the traffic out there and passing them i'm gonna say not higher until i get some technical support data such as a radar gun. I have broken a few turn buckles. When it is warmed up. You can get on the gas hard and it will accelerate so violently that the truck goes flipping over end over end just from a stand still. Thats why i bought the roll cage in the first place.

I'll try and get the data

Okay just ran road test, had a buddy riding beside it on the road. He said the speed is 50-55 mph by his vehicle.
Initially i thought it might be 50 mph. The hp rating for the lrp32802 is 3.89.

The lrp.30 is out. I'm waiting to see if i can get a better deal than what ae's current selling price@ 299.99(300).
I really like this engine its easy to tune. Any suggestions on exhaust systems? I'm currently running the ae dual chamber side muff kit pt# asc25431. Anyone know of a couple more i could try that have a significant tq increase?
Thanks and happy new year!!!

The lrp30 pt#lrp32810 hp is rated @4.21/4.12 it would be nice to see the tq rating as well with a rpm to hp/tq so you could better select gearing.
Anyone know of any dyno's on the lrp showing this info?
