Just curious and I'm not sure my 5.9 is even finished getting faster but I was curious if there are any faster motors that might have a little more snappy response and higher powered?

How would switching from 20% nitro mix to a higher percentage mix change the way it runs? yeah I read that other article, looks like the piccos are just good high quality durable motors.

Their rpm range is higher than the other .28s but switching to a 30% will give you a lil extra power. Just be sure to add a extra head shim if its only got one if you switch to 30%.

What about switching just a slight amount to 25% i'm just trying to get rid of the hesitation when it first accelerates. it seems to go from too lean to hesitating. I figure a hot plug or slightly hotter fuel might bring the bottom end up a little and get those front wheels light. PS Head shim goes under the glow plug? Well I'll google that I guess.

+1 EH23 got my first picco bout a month ago just about to get everythjng dailed in and none of my other savages wit lrps 30 and 32 compare. Love my stock lrps but the modded picco wit the ercm end bleed is insane no comparison, right now!!!

Ended up going 17/47, I also switched to the werks 30 where I was running vp 30 night and day change crisp and so responsive its scary lol. Mostly been off roading it really contemplating using my lrp 30 for off road and putting some street tires on that ear piercing baby lol we'll see. Been scratching this 1/8 electric buggy itch last couple weeks though. Lol. I wanna tryn make a vid and post it seems most of friends tend to leave when i pull her out to play a lil though and asking my ol lady out the question.

Yes please get some vids up! I'm dying to see!

Dood that Werks fuel foreal is no joke... I haven't bought any yet but the reviews I seen are nutz!!! It leaves behind that bom ass golden honey sheen LOL it's crazy cuz that fuel has been out for years, same formula and everything.

I plan on starting to switch my other over this week also just so darn hot here. The picco ran really good anyway but the werks really put some pep in its step. Hopefully I'll have my truggy chassis back this week Neal feels the Nova .28 has the ups on the picco can't wait. I'll definetly do my best to get a lil vid though. Thanks for your help wit that gearing.

Do you ever check how fast the picco will take the savage on the top end? Again switching to 30% I need a head spacer which to my knowledge of gas motors means removing the head and putting a thicker gasket in. Or is that the ring that goes under the glow plug? I'm nitro illiterate

Not yet, I'm illiterate to most of this stuff myself bruh. Only bout two years into hobby but I am sure as far as my savages I already have the lrps and the picco is on a completely different platform , iMO.

Ya I also got to talking with Neal over at C-R-E and he thinks that a modded nova .28 has a bit more in the top end than a modded picco .28 if a person was to drag race the 2 engines.

He also recommends the ofna 086 pipe combo to go with said nova .28. So I asked him about a ERCM pipe and he mentioned there being an ever so slight lag in the beginning of the power band when combining the modded nova .28 and the 221T pipe, but once thats passed the ERCM pipe and nova .28 make killer power, but he also might have an over stock of 086 pipe combos I'm a sucker so I did end up ordering a 086 combo along with some other recommended add-on like bearings, buku clutch (34mm flywheel, ABK-H, ABK, and BBK shoes), buku crank case caps for my modded nova .28

I just hope it's fast, cause for the price of one modded nova .28 I could have had 2 more stock picco .28 and JP pipes to go with.

I got that modded nova .28 on my hpi truggy wit the 086 and after a very lil running on that totally stock rtr chassis I noticed that chassis was starting to crumble it was a complete overkill that sob is insane and I'm yet to really run it hard. The couple short burst I experience wit it is credible. Pulled wheelies on my backyard track cominv out of curves and ofc jumps wit ease 16cb and stock spur. I just didnt like the handle and felt like I was gone make a bigger mess unless I upgraded the chassis or found a better one. Would love to see those tw0 picco and nova on identical chassis lock horns. Right now I would have to give bottom end to picco and top end to nova but mine are on different types of rigs and neither has been really ran in yet, imo. Not to mention I'm far from an expert too. Get thats Werks 30 he recommend also. I loved my jps til I ran the ercm and the 086 now they are stuck on the shelf 4 of them 3s and one 4, lol

I be been running the werks 30% since I found a hook up in Edmonton A.B. I'm really impressed with its quality....I was using the sidewinder V.II but I'm not happy with it, it seems just like sidewinder 30% but runs hotter!...needed to richer up a bit
