hey i was jst wonderin about the quality of the hpi 5.9 because i have jst bought one .
 
love mine in my xl!! in your lighter x version it should really haul ass!

ps....it took me close to a gallon before i could get it tuned, that motor goes through a long break-in period.
 
:\I would reenforce the drivetrain...to hold up to the power. Just my opinion...

Love my K5.9, got it in the X version and it does haul ass! I am running the HPI aluminum tuned pipe. If I did it again I would probably go with the purple one instead, just for the looks
 
i decided to buy the vg 30 o.s engine instead i am jst in the procces of runnin it in now
