4th One Way Bearing This Week

I BOUGHT MY SAVAGE 25 A WEEK AGO AND ITS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE ROTOSTART. I KEEP BREAKING THE BEARING ALMOST EVERY TIME I START IT,I'm STARTING TO WONDER IF A PULLSTART
IS A BETTER WAY TO GO. ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

THANKS

Rotostarts are pretty notorious for blowing the bearing. Stick with a pull start.

Roto starts on way bearing break if the engine is flooded.. I love my roto start... Pull starts breaks all the time and cost more then a one way bearing.. the reason your are breaking your one way is because you are flooding the engine.. plus also run After Run Oil in both engine and carb. I have roto plates on all my vehicles and yet to break a one way... and if you get a pull start and flood the engine you break the coil in the pull start...

Also remember not to grind on the roto start for long periods of time, 3 - 5 seconds at most then stop for a couple seconds, try again, if it starts to bind the engine is flooding, leave the glow ignigtor on the glow plug and wait for about 10 seconds then try to start it again.......if you grind on the roto start for too long the one way gets hot, and if the engine is flooded and binds up and you keep trying to turn it over something has got to give, and the weakest link in the chain is the one way.
