I got the truck used.

I am running 4 AA 1400 mah Kodak NIMH batteries in the truck. (new and fully charged)

Ever since I got it..... if the truck is at a stand still the steering doesn't really work. Seems to need forward or reverse momentum in order for the wheels to turn side to side.

I went so far as to replace the steering servo and all the linkage ( stock servo, aluminum linkage now) still the same. Wont turn side to side while the vehicle is stopped.

Is this normal? Do your trucks steer while STOPPED???

Next idea is a stronger servo and a hump pack.... but I think the batts I am running are actualy STRONGER than the humps out there??

I can get SEVERAL tanks of fuel out of the batteries.... so I really dont think thats the problem. I think my record is 4 tanks of fuel before crashin the hell out of it LOL.

you might need more power then 4aa my revo has a battery out put of 5aa witch turns the wheels easy. i ran on 4aa doesn't work to well

UPDATE, after replacing the servo, upgrading to a hump pack and upgrading the steering linkage to aluminum w bearings. The problem remains.

I finaly had a chance to look at a revo. THEY HAVE 2 STEERING SERVO'S

The tmaxx is fine the way it is.
