For $100 that is a bargain. A set of rims and tires (Big Joe style) will run you about $120 in any LHS. So, if you can win it for less than $120 this auction is a good deal.

Ok I was in the local hobby shop today and I saw the Hot Bodies new whhels. There are frecking huge! Bad ass. The fit a T or a Sav and they are like a foot tall. You have to see them in person, it makes your truck look like Bigfoot.

....guess I can't find a picture, you will just have to wait in suspense.:hehe:

I have seen them in person, and yes they are huge. Ask Error what his opinion of them is. He owns a set.

Personally, I think they are too big. Too much rotational mass. Too heavy for jumping. Just, too big to make them anything more than a show piece.

Now, that being said, get yourself a much more powerful engine (he runs a Hyper 8-port which is no slouch) like something larger than a Picco .26, something on the order of a .70, and those tires might be worth their weight. But as it stands, the .21 - .27 engines are just a little underpowered for those tires.

A good alternative to the 40 series tires by ProLine are the Jumbo Maxx series by IMEX. Their selection of rims is not very robust, but the tires are the same size as the 40 series. AND you can jump them.

what about those Jumbo kongs things?? Iam amazed those even spin.

The Jumbo Kongs I say are more of a converstion piece than anything.

Just make sure if you go with any of the 40 series Pro-Line tires you have a lower gear ratio. Personally, I like the stock size Pro-Line tires on an offset rim.
