Ok I am having an idea for my next project....( well one of them anyways).. I want to put a 4 stroke in a tmaxx.... But I understand it is quite a project and a pricey one at that.... I know that O.S. made a 4 stroke kit for a few years and it was for a .40 engine.. That's all I really know... I would gladly accept you some advice, help and opinions... Thanks for any help...:D

I know new era use to make an engine mount for that .40 engine but I do not think they really performed all that well. I know the four strokes ran hot.

A lot of companies make 4 strokes, OS and Saito to name a couple, but they are for airplanes. 4 strokes produce power, not RPMs, and planes can swing bigger props with them.
You'll be very disappointed if you put one in an RC car.

Waaay back in the day, OS made a 4-stroke car engine. I think it was the FS26SC or something like that. Designed for car usage but it didn't take off very well with the public. As Rolex mentioned, they produce real good low-end power but no RPM's so really not good for surface applications, especially racing.

Although, if i ever run across one of those engines, i'll have to put it in something...lol

Dont have the posi lock either along with how slow crawling is, a obnoxious nitro mill running the entire time would make me want to stab pencils into my ears!!
