I just put took my 4.6 off and upgraded to the axial .32 did the break in period and my engine temps running full throttle and bashing stay right around 250. The manual says shut off above 275 is this a good temperature anyone else run this engine. I am running 47spur and 17 cb. 2 speed trans. also Will the 4.6 hpi exhaust be ok or should I upgrade the exhaust to something else. Its the polished HPI racing exhaust not the plastic stock

250 doesn't seem too high but if axial is saying 275 is no good than i would try to get it to run at 220-230. Basically if you see it climbing towards 270 richen the HSN needle about a quarter of a turn. and then do some laps and see how its running.

I'm not sure what the exhaust flow rate is of the axial but if its not enough it will cause the engine to not run its best. and could over heat from not flowing well enough. How ever the savage 5.9 engine uses the same exhaust so i would imagine it will flow fine.

I run a ofna .32 in a MT and the buku outlaw pipe, my eng runs very strong and temps stay at 220 or under. I recomend the buku pipe you can adjust it and lower your temps or raise them just by turning a screw. I'm running a 20c/b and 36 spur and I love it...

Also it takes a bigger glow plug then my 4.6 can you use a different disk to make it the old size or will that effect the engine

Cause I stripped it out and now had to order the new engine button and I have tons of glow plugs and no turbo glow plugs so now to do what I do best invest more money

Well good news is after looking it up the make it optional with the turbo plug and they have 2 different heads depending on what you want to run so I went with the normal plugs not turbo not sure if it makes a huge difference. doesn't seem like it would
