hello everyone just been having some problems with my savage when i close the battery compartment and turn the clip i seem to do somthing to the electrical system the throttle pulses and the wheels turn without me turning them but as soon as i open the battery box a little and let the pressure off everything works fine its almost like I'm pinching a wire or somthing but i have looked closly and can't seem to see whats doing it also it is very hard to even clip the lid on i really have to force it anyone ideas what could be my problem ?
 
pinching a wire between lid and box? i have done that many times and its an easy thing to do. I have zippy-tied the wires in the box together in a few spots in there and created a sort of harness so that they would quit getting pinched between the lid and the box
 
i also noticed a cut in some of the wires sould i just electrical tape this ?
 
I electrical taped mine into a harness. As far as the cuts, is it just one wire or multiple ones cut in same place? If its same place I'd cut and splice and make new connections.
 
its was a few in a row just on the insulation on the anntenna wire but i mean it has no issues when the battery box is on but the clip is not turned but as soon as i push it down and turn the clip to hold the lid down it gets all goofy its really frustrating i am almost thinking of just zap strapping the lid on so its not as tight because i have tried moving the wires every way and it never seems to work
 
Also another thing could have been your switch i just had this issue with a xl i just purchased used about a week ago. Mine the electronics would work perfectly for like 5 seconds then start glitching and then just quit all together. Checked for pinched wires first and didnt find anything so then i took a switch from another ride bc i didnt have any laying around and then everything worked perfectly. I guess i had a loose connection in the switch and when it heated up from the power supply it would quit working.
