Ok, now I´ve only got about 36 hours left in country. I was planning on buying som Aji Chombo but my carry-on is pretty much packed and I want to lighten it not make it heavier and I fear the bottle shattering in my checked baggage. On the bright side if I did put it into my checked baggage and it did burst I really would not have to worry about someone else stealing my bag.
I spent yesterday in heading out to El Valle and then went further out to Chitre. I bought a ton on things, light on the pottery as much as I wanted it.
I headed out to the Pacific Side today and decided to hit Amador while I was there. I must say driving onto what used to be a kind of ritzy Army Base I saw nothing there that didn´t smell of big money. Perhaps the thoughts that Sherman is getting turned into a Tourist area were being mistaken with Amador. It almost looks like Corridor Sur is going to be put in so that you can go directly from Amador to Tocumen. The Causeway almost looked like it had been widened but I must admit that it was only the 3rd or 4th time I had gone onto the Causeway.
Thus far my picture count is somewhere well above 5000 pics. I do plan on sifting through then unpon my return and maybe burning them onto a CD, or a few more than likely. I will not outright sell the images but I would like to at least get back what it costs for the CD´s themselves and postage. If anyone would like the pics I would be more than happy to send them to you for the previous listed price, I figure $5 will cover everything and then some.
Aside from packing I am not sure what I am going to do tomorrow. It does look like my theory of traveling to my destination with a bag within a bag worked yet again. In case some of you don´t know this trick all you have to do is buy one of the luggage sets that comes with multiple sized luggage. You get the largest bag and pack one of the smaller bags into it, then add your personal stuff inside either of the two bags. Upon your return from your vacation instead of having to frantically find a bag to put all the stuff you bought on your trip you already have an additional bag for this purpose.
The problem I am now encountering is a lack thereof packing materials, but I´ll probably borrow a few towels from the hotel. I may go scouting for some of the roadside 5 for $1 towels as well. Anyway, I may or may not post again before I leave but will shortly after my return Saturday night. Hope all is well for you.
