i have a very expensive $3000 to be exact t-maxx and it hauls a$$ but the speed is just for bragging rights it is realy a designated show truck everything is polished and anodized and it has a very powerful engine. iwas wondering if anyone has a designated show truck or if I'm just crazy. i also have project e-maxx that will be in the $2000 range when I'm done and it is also a show truck (its gonna pull my t on a custom trailor) but its a show truck as well it also halls a$$ but again just for the next guy who calls it a pretty paper weight and wants to drag. i have a dace chassis for a sportmaxx chassis and it will be in the$3000-$4000 range and will also ride on the trailor but its gonna be a full fledged race truck. soo am i crazy or are there other show trucks out there.:tank:

No, it's not just you; most of us have lost some of our marbles. Post some pics.

Lets see some pics!!! I'll race you! I get accused of having a show truck but it's current busted condition would proove otherwise. I have about $3000 in mine. Lets see what your $3000 investment looks like.

Do you have a parts list?

my truck has easily over 2500 but i consider mine no show truck. mine is straight basher racer. i dont see the point of guys buying this trucks to put 3g's in them and just let them site there. kinda makes me mad that these guys on ebay that sell there rigs for 2g's and they have never been ran before?

Hmmm.......I have a $3K Maxx that I bash the crap out of, treat it like a red headed step child that watches the lifetime channel all the time. Make me wonder how much I would spend on a
"concourse" ride. I lost track of how much I have spent, as most of us have, that the only thing that matters is the fun factor. I agree with SuperMaxx97. I can't see getting any fun or enjoyment out of something that just sits there. Heck, if I wanted to do that I would take a blank check and staple it to some wishlist and set it on my bench. When friends come by I can tell them that's my new show truck, I just need to purchase and assemble. What's my point ? Where's the challenge in building a show truck ? You only need money. Where the challenge in making a race truck or basher ? Well, my friends, that would take too long to explain.

Personally I beat the crap out of my RCs. To me, thats fun.
Everyone is in this hobby for the fun factor. Some enjoy building and others enjoy driving. Everyone has their favorite part of the hobby. Who are we to tell anyone how to have fun?

Now start that puppy up and bash the poop out of it so you can fix it again. You know you want to.

Well said Eddy. I have an RX-7 would be easily considered "show" quality. It's as fast as it looks though so it's the combination of the two which is the ultimate toy. I wouldn't build a Show quality RC as I like to drive my cars like I stole them. I drive my RX-7 like I stole it but it's easier to keep the RX in "show" quality because of the inherint nature of RC cars vs' real cars and especially cars driven off road...lol. Put it this way, I wouldn't build a "show" 4x4 cause it wouldn't look pretty after a week with me behind the wheel and winning trophies @ Cars shows isn't for me.

I do understand why some in this hobby frown on "Show" cars and especially show trucks. If you drive them hard and they still look pimp then that's sweet IMHO.

To each their own.

Bigboys - I'll bring those custom Titanium E-maxx parts by your work tomorrow or the day after. Then you'll have a real "show" truck..lol. If not I'll sell them for more money on Flea bay..lol.

Peace

i geusse i said that wrong guys i do run it i run it alot thats how i blew my tranny i drag race but its on road only no gravel and i keep my truck so clean people ask if I've ever run it!!! so its not like it sits there and the e-maxx isnt done but i beat the crap out of it i jump straight up and lock the tires for front flips and all kinds of other stuff but once the expensive part is done it probaly wont see dirt again./ the sport maxx is gonna be the most expensive probaly just cause iwant the best race stuff available i have a t-4 and i absolutley love racing and my sport will probaly do only that.. isee your point about basicaly putting a blank check on the bench but idont know i just realy enjoy looking at my trucks just as much as i like to bash

Yada-yada-yada,
We jump your poop and you cave in like a little sissy.

You better post some pis of this bionic truck. Some day Ill tell you how much I have in my Cyber.:p:

To be totally honest I'm a much better builder than driver. If I had to choose and thank god I don't, I would rather build. If I must say, I build a tight RC. Rarely does one my RC fail due to poor workmanship. I drive them just so I can justify taking them apart and working on them.

Now get out of the closet, put you Barbie's away and go break something. :wedgie:

Hmmm, Pics???

EDIT: Can't wait to see what a $3000 t maxx looks like. I dunno this kind feels like the 106mph serpent thread

Ok I have a good question that's been lingering on my mind.

WHen people say they have $1500-3000+ into their car/truck, does that include the intial investment they made in the Maxx, or does it mean the money they've spent in hop-ups alone. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say it's not the later as I can't seem somone spending $3000 in hop ups alone but it's possible of course. Performance is always a big first in my book....looks is nice but it's NEVER a priority. If your doing a full rebuild like I currently am you can map-out how the truck is going to look as you can buy everything to go togehter. All I'm waiting on is CyberMaxx roll cage and CyberMaxx "spring-steel" skids to get this bitch rolling. Expect hardcore video to come with hot chicks watching the action..lol After I get my real bad boy cars fixed I'll be able to finish my Maxx drag racing project and move on to other Rc ventures.

Peace

Basher/Racer for life.... Id bash the hell outa any maxx no matter what the cost is/was/will be...

Now post some Pic's.

My $3000 estimated investment probably would include cost of buying the truck. But consider I only paid $380 for the truck new. But than again it is always under construction. Right now I am looking into a dual big block conversion. I just put on the proline steering kit not shown in my gallart.

Nice looking truck. You sure have a lot of bling on it. :bling:

Yup, I also include the cost of the original truck as well as all the upgrades, repair parts for the upgrades, shipping cost for the upgrades and, oh yeah, the money I spend on the wife when she wants something of equal value.

i have about 2000 in my truck not counting the truck itself.

By this equation My Maxx rebuild will easily be worth $2800..lol.
