3 speed tranny base setting

Any one know the base setting setting for the three speed tranny? I bought and installed it yesterday and after about 2 hours, a fried spur gear, mangled slipper and about four dozen adjustments all I have is a one speed savage. :shrug: After all those adjustments I lost my starting point.

4 1/2 turns from tight is the factory setting if it's the same as the 2 speed.

if you only have one speed there is a screw inside where 1st-2nd is and it may have backed out, mine did it and i even put loc-tite on it. my truck got quite hot about 309 degrees.
