3-Speed/Reverse Module

I just got the 3-Speed and am wanting to put my reverse in it, inorder to put it in you have to take the gear off the rod and put it on the reverse. There is a clip that is holding on the gear, does anyone know an easy way to get this off?? Cuz I am having trouble with it. Thanks for the help

needle nose pliers. one side of the pliers on the shaft and the other on one side of the retainer clip. should pop right off. mine did any how.

Is the reverse module worth a crap for the savage?
Does it work properly?

Yeah, I was just dicking around with it until it got dark, Its pretty sweet.

the savage works EVERYTIME unlike the tmaxx reverse the easiest way to get that little C clip off is to put a flat head screw driver in one of the 2 little slots on the clip and slowly but carefully itll pop off as u angle and apply pressure
