3 speed installed today!

well, i just got my new 3 speed installed in my savage x. just recently put in the LRP Z.28 SPEC 3, love the mill, haven't tried the new 3 speed yet, i was wondering if anyone is running the same setup in their savage, let me know what you guys think of this combination. i will post again after i get the chance to bash around on the savage. kdogg

I just got mine 3 speed installed today too.

looking to do the same 3-speed upgrade on mine. I have an XL motor on an X frame. HOw much did you pay for the tranny? and are you willing to part with the 2 speed?

hi, i think it was $69.95. the weather has been crappy so i haven't got to try it out yet. as far as the 2-speed, yes i probably would sale it. as a matter of fact i have the stock savage 4.6 mill, it only has about 2 gallons run through it if that cause i got sick last year right after i got it so i could make you a package deal on both, if you have anything to trade, i may be intrested. let me know.

That mill for me loved the 16/49 great low and top end great for bashing. High speed loved the 18/49 and would run all over an t maxx my freind just hated it hahah. Get the higher third gear for even better top end. i had mine for an little more than an year and its alot of fun there is on bad part is that to tune the first to second shift you have to pull the tranny and do it from the inside. what i did was took the three speed gears and put it in the savage x tranny so that way when i had to change the shift point i pull the top cover off the tranny and change. Over all its fun to have Great for high speed jumps air time.
