3.5 conversion of motor to 5.9 with no chassis conversion

hey i was jst wondering because i will be doing the conversion soon wat do u guys reckon about the motor upgrade with out the extra length of the chassis i reckon it will be a great power to weight ratio.

It will fit fine you will need to do some drivetrain upgrades to handle the power.
No need for the longer chassis, it is just a matter of preference.
On the downside I have heard a lot of quality issues with the 5.9. It is made by Axial for HPI.
Axial is known for using poor quality bearings and leaky carbs.
I suggest you find a LRP Z28 spec 3 or an SH Pro 6 port .28. Both have tons of power, Both of these are much cheaper than the 5.9 and are fast as hell, very reliable too. The SH comes with a roto start, the Z28 has to be converted to roto.
You'll need to switch to a 16 or 17T CB to gear these engines properly.

thanx for the advice but i went to my hobby shop the other day and they said i wouldnt need anythin for the drivtrain but u no if they start breakin i will upgrade them and yeah i will go for the 5.9 i have heard good reviews about it lol 2 different countries and so different opinion any way thanx for ur help appreciate it wat car have u got.....
and should i eventually upgrade to all alu for my savage or is it jst preffrence ok thanx again.

Running Alum would be a preference choice. The idea being that whatever you do improves performance and durability and hopefully looks sweet in the process. Or than again you could just build a pavement princess! hehe
