3.3 w/optidrive wont shift

Well here goes I have a Tmaxx 3.3 I bought new in 08 and have blown the motor up twice trying to get the transmission to shift into second I rebuilt it the first time but this time I gotta buy a motor anyways the transmission doesn't shift it did the first three months of ownership but after that nothing anyone that might be able to shed some light on this problem I would appreciate any help.

The transmission shift from 1st to 2nd gear is controlled by the RPM’s of the primary shaft.
A centrifugal clutch with an arm (clutch pawl) swing opens (adjustable) when the rpms reach a certain speed and engages 2nd gear.

The most common reasons for a non shift are:

Engine not tuned well enough to reach the needed rpm’s.

The slipper clutch is too loose to allow the engine to turn the transmission shaft fast enough to reach the needed rpms.

The 2nd gear clutch is not adjust correctly or has a mechanical problem.

(Opti drive has nothing to do with the shift change)…

I have the same problem...It wouldnt move or steer...thought it was bad servos. So, I bought new servos, but found out that it was dead batteries...duh. Since I bought the upgraded servos, I installed the throttle servo, but it doesn't shift now...what happened?

does the truck get up to the speed it needs to be at to shift. I had to adjustmy shift point mine was shifting to soon like within 1-2 seconds of throtle .maybe yours needs to be adjusted to shift earlier. just a thought. how good is it tuned if it's not tuned right it will not shift.

I'm going to retune after I get some parts....broke steering bell crank. It was running great before replacing servo. But I'm going to retune it, hopefully that will help. Much appreciated...Thanks

Update on my rig....It was out of tune and running great. These are so goofy.
