Which is more powerful? And if I have a traxxas truck and I ran it can I still buy a ERP plan?
 
I'm guessing your referring to the OS .18tm? The OS has a little more low end power but the 3.3 has more top end. The OS is a dream to tune, the 3.3 is not bad but a little more finicky

You have to have a Traxxas engine to do the ERP, call traxxas for more info.
 
I do have a traxxas engine in my truck but can it still be replaced even though it's been driven or do you need to buy the ERP when you buy the car?

The replacement plan is for any traxxas engine but it's not cheap. I think it's $105.00 for the 2.5 and $125.00 for the 3.3. You can get one on eBay cheaper if you are patient, keep your old engine for parts.
 
I know how much it costs the only thing is can I buy the erp after i bought the car? And can anyone tell me if the O.S. .18 is more powerful than the trx 3.3? How muich iof a mph difference and will the O.S. give me wheelies?

i'd get the OS over the traxxas. A: its an OS. B: it'll outlive any traxxas engine.

Doesn't OS have a .21TM engine coming out anyways?
 
The erp is for any traxas engine, it can be brand new, it can have 3 tanks through it or it can be in 500 pieces! It doesn't matter.

True, true.... Traxxas rocks with that program. They will take any Traxxas mill in any condition no questions asked. I think it is one of the better deals out there, but like Smaxxin said it will cost you a bit, and for a just a little extra cash you can have an OS which I think is a better overall mill.

Yes.. and you will get sick of them... but its nice to have the power if you need it.

Heres what you do ok!

Step one,
1. Go to towerhobbies.com and buy yourself the OS.18tm
Step two,
2. Put it in the truck.
Step three,
3. This one is the hard one, Break it in with the heat cycle method.
Step four,
Enjoy!

Comprehend that. lol. Trust me you wont be dissapointed, and the mill will outlive the 3.3 anyday.

I agree but would like to add:
Step 5 learn throttle control because like I said you will do wheelies and they will get old but its nice to have the power if/when you need it!
