hey everybody just a quick question. yesterday i was running my revo and i could only get a temp of 220. it was only 48 outside. the truck ran great does the cooler weather effect the tuning alot. i didnt want to lean it to much more but i still couldnt get the front end to come up very much. my question is when it is that cold out should i lean it out toget it up to 240 where it seems to really stand the front end up.thanks for the advise. i love this site, forum thanks again

240 is okay for it. I have to make small adjustments to the needles every time, even if the weather seemed the same.

you are able to stand it up at 240????. . .i run at 250 and i can't get it to stand up for anything??

mine was just starting to stand up at 220, whats the hottest they should run before overheating?

Do not run lean to get it up to temps. It will not get enough lubrication. I was running my 3.3 t-maxx yesterday and it was running GREAT at 208.

yes the manual says 270.about adjusting the slipper cluthch how tight should it be? and how does adjusting it effect the truck. thanks for all the info. i am realy starting to enjoy the truck now that i found a place to ask questions and learn. thanks again

When you tighten the nut on the spur/slipper, more power will be available before the pads begin to slip on the input shaft. Just be careful for your transmission.
Maybe 1 full turn out from closed and go from there.
Mine is around 1/4-1/2 out from closed, but I don't have a first gear at the moment.

Revo Rob, have you adjusted your slipper clutch at all?

I think the manual says 270 for the 3.3.
No i haven't touched it i figured since it works well and it takes off great just doesn't stand up i'll leave it alone. . .but i would like it to stand up when i want it too

That is an easy adjustment you don't have to really take anything out for. If that is enough to get the wheels off the ground, you can easily adjust it back when/if it gets old too.

hey, grudge how tight is tight? mine is fairly easy to move loosen or tighten is that bad?

well if your slipper clutch is tightened it should awfully difficult to turn the spur gear by hand with the Tranny locked up.
