I opened up my engine after it seized and saw that the starter shaft disk actually broke off. I bought the replacement but don't want to re assemble the engine until i know what caused it in the first place.
The only things left in the crankcase were the piston, connecting rod, crankshaft, and main bearing. There is so much movement(in and out) in the crankshaft that the bottom off the connecting rod was hitting the edge of the groove.
I think the collet was worn down enough that the clutch nut wasn't holding the crankshaft properly, or the nut has somehow worn down that it loosens due to the vibrations of the engine.
If it helps any, it's a T-Maxx, and it has been revving way too high once the car stopped.
