What would it take and how much would it cost to convert the revo 3.3 i have the 5308 model

I know it's not a heck of alot, but the electronics will add up fast. My lhs had a complete package deal going minus electronics at one time. You could check your lhs, or go on ebay and get a decent roller for cheap.

My lhs don't hardly know nothing, they are telling it can't be done and i have to buy the whole e-revo

oh i have a titan 21t and a sidewinder in a box i can use for elecs

does the dual motor mount straight to the tranny or do i need a new tranny also

well i let a buddy use my 3.3 when we went out to the sand dunes and i told him to change the air filters alot and he did but he got sand down in the carb so now the motor is all screwed up but it still runs

Tekno makes a conversion kit for the Revo and runs about $100 plus electrics and batteries. The only thing that they say is that you need to use a motor with a 5mm output shaft.

The conversion is going to run you around $350 total with motor ESC and conversion kit. Your Sidewinder is just not going to have the juice to push that thing around with any authority and a single 21t Titan will do a lot of overheating too. Brushless is really the way to go. You can also go with the EZ-Run ESC and motors...I have heard some good things about them in buggies and truggies; I am sure the 150amp version would toss a Revo around pretty good.

I can tell you right now that you are better off selling what you have and buying an ERevo. You will be money ahead.

I have been down the Tekno conversion road and abandoned the project.

BTW, you must use a brushless motor with the conversion.

For the cost to properly convert the 3.3 Revo to brushless including a proper brushless motor/esc combo and LiPo pack, you could have yourself a brand new brushed ERevo RTR and still have your 3.3.

That should put this in perspective for you.
