i used to be able to start my motor in 10-20pulls from a cold start. and then one day ran out of fuel and i think motor was running a little lean. and then ever since then it wont start. i let the car sit for a week or so and got back into it. and i got brand new gas. new plugs and charged starter. and i have a pull start on my motor. and it wont turn over. and i have the carb to fac setting.

what can it be?

should i look in cleaning the carb? do i have to check something?

please help i want to race!

How old is the engine? When was the real last time you used it and what were the air temps?.How does the compression feel when pulling it?..I would start by cleaning out the tank and fuelfilter then the carb....An OS8 plug has been good for me and if your engine is fully broken-in factory settings may be too rich....try 1 3/4 on the LSN and 3 1/2 on the HSN after doing a thorough cleaning and carb resealing....Good Luck

The motor is maybe a year or 2 old. i used it and then went to fill it up and wont turn on again, and then i gave up and let it sit for a week and got new gas and plug thinking that may be it, and that was not.

i also tried making it really lean and rich both ways do not help to turn over the motor.

and when i pull the motor does have nice compression feels firm as it always did.

Maybe check the carb opening, open it a little with the throttle trim on the transmitter just to check and see if that helps. Or while pull starting it just pull the trigger on the transmitter a little bit. Besides that I don't know, you said you have fuel, spark(heat) and compression, only thing missing is air.

dreamstate i have tried that already when trying to start it for 10 min.

charge you glow ignitor or if still using the blue wire from the ez start GO GET YOURSELF A GLOW STICK AKA GLO PUG IGNITOR

again the compression is good. I'm not using the ez start my glow plug starter is full charged. and works.

i think my motor is dead.

If your compression is "Good" then your motor is not dead.

Are you sure Fuel is getting to your carb? Can you see the fuel moving through the lines as you prime it.. ?

If you have an air leak (which is highly likely) your engine won't prime as well as it should.. check your Exhaust coupler, Fuel lines for cracks, fuel tank seal, Seal your Starter back plate on the engine, Seal the Carb and Pinch bolt. and lastly, check your front bearing. If you have a spray of oil on the inside of the body near the flywheel, then you have abig air leak there. No oil, then your probably not too bad.

Check your one way bearing (owb). It may not be letting go thus not letting the motor fire due to the owb holding it back. I had this problem once and it baffled me for 2 days. Since you don't have an easy start attached, wich would be the easiest way to check your owb (reversing the pos neg on the ez start motor and spinning the motor backwards, if it turns the motor even the slightest the owb is bad.), pull the pull starter off and try turning the owb by hand, if it feels like its binding at all when spinning it counter-clockwise replace it, then it should fire up.

Well if its dead get an OS .18tz those things are FAST and reliable.
