ok so as i stated in an earlier post i killed my 2.5 and after a bit decided to upgrade to the 3.3 in my maxx. this is the 4910 and is all 2.5 except for the new motor. because I'm poor at tuning I'm running real close to break in settings maybe 1/8 turn past on the hsn and 1/16 on the lsn pinch test says its good at 3 secs and shifts to 2nd gear well plus with the bigger motor it serves my needs at these settings. first wuestion is how restrictive is this 2.5 exhaust on this 3.3 motor? would i see much if any performance increase to get the new dual chamber off ebay? second is kinda self explanatory but being all stock 2.5 tires and all i thought this thing might wheelie but regardless of the driving surface this things doesn't even try too. (now i have my truck as low as it will set and dont really want it to wheelie but is this just from the settings being to rich the exhaust being too restictive or what. only curious on the last part . also will it hurt anything to run the motor rich like this?

You should always run a tad rich. Richer is safer. And definatly get the newer resonator pipe I did the exact upgrade and I ended up upgrading the entire truck to a 4908

Richer is not safer. It creates stress by making the engine push more fuel through the combustion chamber, and the cooler temps add to mechanical stress. You only run rich during break in to compensate for the extra mechanical stress of a fresh pinch. Once that's gone(when the engine is broke in), There's no need at all to run rich. You can compensate for running in high resistant terrain(sand, grass, ect...) by running SLIGHTLY rich. But if the terrain is holding the truck back that bad, your clutch won't last very long anyways. The right pipe will make that engine come to life. It should be flippin' on it's lid and throwing 2.5 shafts at you.:) You should always run the engine where it runs the best, for the terrain and the weather you are driving in.

ok i ordered the resonator pipe. not too much use doing any tuning till i get it cause i should have to retune for the new pipe anyway. if i had the money i would have just baught a new 4908 and been done with it but budget is tight so its gonna have to be one peice at a time as they break. but isnt that half the fun anway.

Good idea on the pipe... glad to hear you ordered one..
My partner did Exactly the same thing to her Maxx and the pipe made the world of difference...With the right tuning of corse :)

Let us know how ya go
