Hey guys I'm looking to upgrade my 4910 to the wide arms and 3.3 chassi. Can anyone give me an idea of a parts list to do this swap. I have my stock revo carriers to use and gonna order the 3.3 driveshafts and wide arm kit. Plus i need the 3.3 turnbuckles. The 3.3 driveshafts will hook up to my stock bulkeads though right? Thanks in advance..Really just lookin for the parts for the chassi.

do i need a 3.3 tranny for the 3.3 driveshafts to work? I was thinking for the chassi i would need chassi, lower braces extended and driveshafts. And for the wide arms i would need Arms, axles, carriers, turnbuckles. Anything else?

If you do need a 3.3 tranny forward only from a 4909 I will have one next week from eBay that I will have no use for. My dad bought it for my 4910 not knowing any better. I will trade you for your 2.5 tranny if it's good and working! The one I will recieve is brand new minus spur gear assymbly. Pm me let me know.

And no you can't swap output shafts. Different size all together. Everything in the 3.3 tranny is revo spec. Not compatible with anything outta the 2.5 trans.

not meening to be a pain but one more question. Will the stub axles from the 2.5 4910 work in the 3.3 carriers or would i need to purchase them also? Thanks

Don't believe they will because of the 3.3 shafts being 6mm and the 2.5 shafts are 5 or 5.5 mm. Anyways they are bigger on the 3.3 tranny. Good thing is they are not expensive unless you buy the steel driveshafts they are pricey!

2.5 shafts will not work with 3.3 carriers because the 2.5 has the same size inner and outer wheel bearings. The good news is 3.3 shafts can be had pretty cheap on ebay, and they are plenty strong.

Ahhh. That means that someone already put the wider arms and shafts on my 4910 because my inner bearings are bigger than the outter ones. Matter of fact they are the same on my revo. I think it's a 5120 bearing inner and a 5117 outside. So when I get the extended chassis and 3.3 tranny I will pretty much have a 4909 tmaxx right?

Maybe somone answered this already but I think you need a 3.3 tranny for the 3.3 chassis.

I will have two this week. The chassis comes complete with one and all linkage, shafts, braces, and servo mounts. All I need to do is swap all my parts over to it and buy a new body. Mines kinda rough.

ANd dad ordered a 3.3 tranny for the 4910 chassis before not knowing any better so therefor I will have an extra 3.3 trans.

I recommend the Platnium Ed. Revo with the center diff rather than the trans.

As long as you don't have the narrow arms you can cross those off your list.

For the wheel shafts you need the 3.3 shafts, carriers & turnbuckles(& wide arms if you have the narrow pro .15 truck).

You can use the new Revo spec 3.3 center with the old style black trany, you need to reuse your 5mm trany yokes & add a small washer under each u~joint e~clip to take up the space & you will need to sand the chassis a little for clearance of the new u~joint ends.

Ya but if u r converting your 4910 to revo spec 4907 tmaxx u need the wider arms to accomodate the legth of the 3.3 axles i believe. And also to add to the list of things needed i believe you need the steering bellcrank and servo setup for the 4907 also. The old style hits the new lower braces. Unless theres a way around it that i have not figured out yet.

Just buy a 4907, trust me you will be a lot happier. By the time your done rebuilding it you will have close to a new one in money and a lot more time to bash it.

Nah. He got the truck for 125. Just bought the chassi, trans, driveshafts and a couple other things for 75. Took me 2hrs and it is complete other than that steering setup thats on the way. 450 for a new truck. u do the math.
