well i have been having issues with my truck ever since i moved to az, and changed to traxxas gas 35%. Today, it would start, run super rich for like 30 seconds then cut....well, the engine finally wouldnt even turn over so i am assuming it is seized. I took a screw driver and moved the flywheel and got it to move, but the starter still wont turn it over. So my question is, how do know if the engine is shot. I plan on taking it apart this week, but what things should i look for. I have seen plenty of car engines, but this is a first for me for nitro.

After speaking with the guy at the hobby shop, he told me that traxxas gas is crap and that is probably why i had tuning issues to begin with....so i will go back to byron...

but while i am taking it apart, i will seal it too this time.

any suggestions? thanks

i think if you run over 30% fuel in the 3.3 , you need to add another shim to the head ...maybe thats why you had problems ....i run 20% backyard basher in mine and it runs just fine

ok. after i take it apart i will try running 20%
